This necklace is so lush that you can't even find the core
beads on it. This all started out with this beautiful bead by John
Olson. To me, it looked like opal bubbles in a great big opal pearl.
First, I strung it on with some 4mm beads in a honey color and pale
mint green. I then made a bead soup using size 11 and 15 in this
wonderful mix of gilt-lined opal, golds and greens. |

For accents, I used some of those base beads, along with
triangles, some wonderful honey-wheat opal tiny tims, some size 8 seeds,
some honey-wheat nibblets, bronze pearls and these luscious green
pearls. As to how many loops there are on this piece, I have no idea
and couldn't even hazard a guess but I can tell you that this necklace
definitely has weight to it. The lampwork bead sits off-center and I
finished it with a gold Bali clasp. |
