This
is a very lush necklace. The
centerpiece is a lampwork mermaid made by Elaine Popelka.
First I created a spine for the necklace using size 8 blue
color-lined purple beads. Then,
coming out of each bead is a branch fringe made up of a bead soup of
blues, purples, navy, gold, white, hints of green, touch of pink using
beads from a size 15, 11, magatamas, drops, etc.
Also included are lots of freshwater pearls, mother-of-pearl,
seashells, and even two tiny red lampwork fish for company.
I used a combination of Soft-Flex and Nymo.
This has a ton of beads on it, and it took quite a while to make. |
