I absolutely love this piece and the way that it turned
out! The top cab is Black Onyx that I beaded about with some
luscious gold-lustered emerald glass size 15 Japanese seed beads. The accent beads are
actually 4mm Green Jade. I added black charlottes around the edges
and also used them to hold the Ocean Jasper tongue created by a very
talented lapidary artist Sam
Silverhawk. This piece has movement to it and the double layer
of beadwork around the top cab gives it depth.
This piece has a pin back and a bail and therefore may be worn as
either a pin or on a necklace chain. This pin was one of the pieces
shown in the June 2004 issue of Jewelry Craft article about me.
