Crystyllys
Home Up Buttons Unikite White Onyx Crystyllys

Here is my entry for the 3rd Miyuki Challenge.

It is the year 2417 and humans from the planet Earth have begun a fashionable trend of wearing hats patterned after their favorite planets.  One of the more popular ones is the planet Crystyllys (kris sti’ les), found in the Myzak Galaxy in the Yantel System.  Somewhat larger than the planet Earth, yet smaller than planet Ryklan (in the same Galaxy), this mining planet is slowly becoming a favorite tourist destination.  Comprised of a single continent named Ryslla, its major components are ice, quartz crystals and diamonds.  The major mountain range, found at the northern pole of the planet is the Crescent Range.  The only other land formations are the Lump Islands and are the planet’s source for magnesium and iron.  Crystyllys has one ocean, covering the remainder of the planet.  Known as the Widen Sea, it is the largest sea discovered to date in the Universe.

There is only one moon to Crystyllys – Aqualuna.  Comprised entirely of water, Aqualuna’s orbital path takes 1 year, which is 517 days.  Its elliptical path passes through the Rings of Crystyllys.  Known as The Singlets, these rings are responsible for the period of time on the planet identified as The Fiery Fortnight.  It is during these 13-14 days that the entire eastern hemisphere is lit up in oranges and reds as debris from the Singlets collide with Aqualuna.

Native inhabitants of Crystyllys are at a basically cellular level with some primitive planet life.

As you can see, style is still important and beadwork is considered high fashion due to the process required for the finished product.  Other popular planets being worn as hats currently are:

Saturn
Uranus
Seeglan Six
Wahded
